Miss Orem Workshop

The Miss Orem Workshops are going strong every Thursday night at the Orem Friendship Center.Mark Robbins is the most incredible walking coach and has been working with the Miss Orem Scholarship Pageant for many years now. He is responsible for countless miraculous walking transformations.
He is well connected in the "walking world" and brings consultants in to work with us.
Joanna Larsen, a former Miss UVU, stopped by our workshop one week and gave us great walking instruction as well as tips on how to prepare for pageants.
Each girl receives one-on-one tutoring.
Heather Anderson, a former Miss Utah USA and runway model, has also been part of our workshop experience.
She is interesting and informative - check her out on youtube.
We are all learning so much! Look at that great posture!
The opening number is really coming together.
And friendships are being deepened.
At one recent Miss Orem Workshop we completed our annual service project of tying quilts for patients at Timpanogos Regional Hospital.
Of course we all enjoyed a healthy treat after tying all those quilts.
Another week we participated in a team building craft.
We made fabric bracelets.
Even the committee members joined in the fun.
How cute!
Last week, Mac make-up came in and did a make-up tutorial and demonstration.
They took some volunteers and did makeovers.
I wish I would have taken before and after shots.
The City of Orem is REMARKABLE! They truly support the Miss Orem Scholarship program and provide a wonderful opportunity for the girls in Orem.
Love, Hannah Harkness
