Today was an exciting opportunity for me to participate in a public service announcement for Orem's Center for Story.I grew up going to Storytime every week at the Orem Public Library.
So it was extra exciting for me to participate in this "Story of Transformation."
Louise Wallace is always visable and serving in all aspects of Orem City Arts.
The Center for Story is going to be built as a new facility connected to the Orem City Library.
As part of my filming today, I was able to play piano.
As well as speak a few lines about the Center for Story.
Mike Winget is great at giving direction.
He is the owner of LifeLens Media and is donating his expertise and services.
It was interesting to watch other Orem citizens film their lines.
I have fond memories of the Orem City Library playhouse. I spent a lot of hours here as a child and watched a lot of plays. Doesn't this remind you of "The Sound of Music?"
The Center for Story is going to be on the west side of the library, adjacent to the children's storytelling wing, with classrooms and a stage with 385 fixed seats.
They only need to raise about $700,000 more dollars to begin building the 4.5 million dollar facility.
Wherever I go as Miss Orem, I always have the opportunity to meet little princesses. It is one of the most fulfilling aspects of being Miss Orem. When I was young I was too shy to talk to princesses, so I make it a point to seek out other young girls who might be too shy to approach me.
Love, Hannah Harkness
