Miss Orem Workshop

Last night was an ENERGETIC Miss Orem and Miss Orem Outstanding Teen Workshop.
Brittany Wiscombe Tait, former Miss Orem, Miss UVU and Miss Deseret, was the featured guest speaker. She taught us about all things interview; from articulation to hand gestures, to graciousness.
Brittany is a spectacular mentor and a most polished speaker. She didn't say, "Umm, well or like" even once.

She is a freelance reporter for 2News and says that TV journalism ranges from reporting on the largest icicle to devastating house fires. You have to be ready for anything and participating in the Miss American Scholarship Program helps prepare you for that. Brittany also teaches TV broadcasting at Lehi High School. Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us!

Then it was time for a little stretching.

And some strength training.

The Miss Orem Outstanding Teen contestants are jelling.

What a fun group of young ladies.

The Miss Orem candidates were few in number last night.

But they made up for it in spunk and energy.

The committee of dedicated ladies cannot be matched. We love them! Thank you ladies for spending every Thursday with us girls and being our mentors. We appreciate you!

Time to prepare Dawn's yogurt parfaits.

They are a crowd pleaser and one of my favorites.

The group dance is looking great!

Love Miss Orem 2011
