Outback Steakhouse Ribbon Cutting

Orem's business world is flourishing to the max! This new Outback Steakhouse building looks incredible, I loved being a part of the grand opening. Not to mention, the building that it used to be in will be occupied by Nordstrom Rack, which I am also very excited for!

We had some minor difficulties cutting the ribbon...but we eventually got it!

It's the Scera family!!! Technically, I will be giving up my crown in their building, so I count as a part of the family. They are such wonderful supporters of the Miss Orem organization.

The owner, Jeff, is a great man for this job! He is so excited for this new location, as am I!

They wanted me to model the new facility, so here we go!

Two words. Delicious quesadillas.

There is even an outdoor dining area! I'm a fan of this new place.

National Pancake Day

Queens all around the country were at their local IHOP to support the Children's Miracle Network (CMN)! It was incredible to see everybody coming together to raise money for the Primary Children's Hospital. One of my favorite things about the Miss America Organization is that it teams up with CMN and has each participant collect money every year. It feels so good to be making a direct difference in the lives of these children by helping with financial demands.
Take a look at all the people who donated to CMN! These cards filled the walls of the entire restaurant!
Miss Provo and Miss Rocky Top took the first shift, I took the next :)

For the first time in my life, I was addressed by the name QUEEN ELSA! I think I'm going to put my hair in a braid more often, these little kids were ecstatic to have the real Elsa right there!

I got myself some adorable fans! They were literally watching me through that window for a solid 20 minutes while I walked around the restaurant. It was tender :)

The women in charge of this project deserve a gold medal! They were there all day, making an incredible impact on these customers! Their knowledge on the CMN blew me away, the statistics and facts are so moving.

Working hard!

The cooks need some credit too!

The best part of this day was seeing people come in for free pancakes, and leave with a better appreciation for the Primary Children's Hospital. Such an incredible day!!

Smashburger MDA fundraiser

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) hosts a fundraiser every year to help fight muscle disease! It was such a pleasure to help participate in this great cause. Presley and I had a blast hanging out at Smashburger and explaining to the customers what MDA is all about! It always blows me away how generous people will be to a good cause, we had a very successful night.

The Miss Orem and Teen royalty will be at the Orem Smashburger location for the rest of the month of March on Monday nights from 6-8 if you want to come support MDA. Come buy a T-shirt or shamrock pin (perfect for St. Patrick's day coming up)!

Classic Presley face, trying not to smile! She did a great job hosting that shamrock box.

Events get twice the excitement if snapchat selfies are involved! Let me just say that Presley loves taking selfies :)

This night was well spend with some epic fries and a chocolate milkshake! Thanks mommy :)

Be sure to tune in for the rest of the month to see the rest of the royalty create some good!

Opening Social

As spring approaches, so does the end of this year's Miss Orem Royalty! The opening social was such a fun night. We had a great turn out of contestants and I think this is going to be a wonderful year! The pageant will be on May 16th (mark it in your calendars) and I look forward to that bitter sweet day. I don't want this year to end but I am so excited for the new royalty.

We have such a great committee with this program. All questions and concerns were addressed and answered during this opening social and we had a blast while doing it!
To the contestants: let us know if you have any more questions, we are 100% here for you!

We love our awesome director, Kim!

This royalty has been such a BLAST! Face it, you're going to miss us. I know I am going to miss us! Good thing we still have a couple months to go. I am so grateful for the good attitude and the friendliness that these girls have exhibited. I have learned so much from them. (not pictured here, whom we love dearly is Kayla Carper).

The purpose of the Miss America Organization is to provide young women with a vehicle to further their personal and professional goals and instill a spirit of community service. These girls are in for a wonderful experience and adventure! They showed up to this workshop with a desire to serve and I am so grateful for their motivation and excitement. They are certainly going to CREATE some GOOD during their journey.

Thanks so much for their support with my platform. These blue wristbands are going to remind them to actively serve those around them and create the good in their circle of influence.
