Miss Utah 2015!

Miss Utah week was, in a word, phenomenal. I joked throughout the whole week that it felt like Christmas. Why would it feel like Christmas? Because we got to meet all of the queens across Utah, see them perform, and then welcome a new Miss Utah at the end of it all.

The first event I attended during the week was the Shoe Me Your Shoes Parade. Each contestant rode on the back of golf carts and dressed up in costumes and shoes which reflected their cities or platforms.

We had a great time interacting with the contestants and judges after the event!

For the preliminary nights of competition, we came decked out to support Maddi and our other favorite contestants. Oh what fun we had!

Maddi did incredibly and was named as the second attendant and given the Spirit of Miss Utah award. She represented Orem with class and grace.

After watching Miss Utah, I am so excited to compete next year! The most common thing you'll hear from any contestant who has experienced competing is that the week is the most physically and emotionally draining, but also the best week, of your life. I can't wait to experience it for myself! Congratulations to Miss Utah 2015 Krissia Beatty! She will represent us so well at Miss America and for the upcoming year.
