Orem's Center for Story Benefit

Orem's Center for Story held a Benefit Concert on Friday night. Master Storyteller DONALD DAVIS was there to entertain. He is AMAZING!! Twenty-two years ago Karen Ashton founded the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in her backyard which has now grown to be the largest storytelling festival in the West. They continue to grow and are in need for a "Center for Story."
So they held a benefit concert at Orem High School. During the silent auction it was my pleasure to play background piano music. The event was well attended - but nobody shows up on time.
There were lots of items donated by community citizens and businesses. I am always impressed with Orem's generosity. We are surrounded by people who want to give and serve to make Orem a better place to live.
There were other musicians who entertained as well.
Then I mingled with those in attendance.
And I bid on LOTS of fun items.
There was also tasty treats to enjoy. Thanks Orem for supporting the arts and the Center for Story.
Love, Hannah Harkness
