Lube Doc Ribbon Cutting

Lube Doc has been in business for 30 years, so they celebrated with a ribbon cutting completed with J-dawgs, radio coverage, and awesome people!

While on live radio, I went and sat down and took a picture! They asked me a few questions which you couldn't hear my response to, but hey I was on the radio indirectly!! I'm feeling pretty famous. Horray for The Zone!
Val Hale is the President of the Chamber of Commerce and always a pleasure to work with!
Who knew that Brent Norton (Lube Doc owner) and Gifford Nielson  were best friends growing up? It was awesome to meet them both at this event!

The classic ribbon cutting!

Our Mayor is awesome.

Orem Easter Egg Hunt

I cannot believe I didn't know about this awesome event before this year! I've been inside the Bruin bowl 100 times but have never seen so many children running around at once! Kayla, Amy and I went early and helped set up, then watched the Bruin bowl fill up in no time! The eggs were gone in no more than four minutes. It was a blast and I loved helping the kids have a fun time.

This little boy made a bet with his family that he would never take a picture with a princess......
My bad...... :)

As I was wondering around, this precious little girl ran up to me and tugged on my shirt and said, "Hi, my name is Faith!" She said it so quickly and quietly I could hardly understand her but it was the most adorable thing ever.

After I'd been surrounded by tons of kids wanting to collect as much candy as possible, I met this adorable girl who sacrificed one of her suckers and gave it to me! She was such a sweetheart, it was absolutely darling.

There were so many wonderful experiences and adorable kids on that morning, I just wanted to collect a few of them into this collage!

I love my job!!!

Contestant Reunion

Not everybody was able to come, but those who were there had so much fun! We watched the DVD of the pageant and reminisced on our good times.

Special thanks to KIMBERLY for letting us party at her house! We had pizza, cheesecake, and all kinds of sodas topped off with lots of pageant loving!!

In the middle of our party, we realized that we were missing the wedding reception of one of our committee members, Haley Felton! So we definitely ran over there and barely caught her before she left! She looked beautiful and we love her.

Clearly we were captivated by each others' performances! It was SO fun to watch everybody again!

I have to tell a funny story. No pictures caught of it, but the three of us who slept over had a little adventure in the middle of the night (Amy, Jackie and me). After watching the movie Ever After (which I practically cried the whole way through- I love chick flicks), Amy and I had the most random urge to prank Jackie. Just something little and dumb like put whipped cream up her nose or put peanut butter on her lips. So I started heading over to the kitchen to get the tools, and I heard someone coming in the front door! Amy and I both panicked and rushed back to the couches for cover. In the blackness, I ran for my life into the couch but was interrupted by the coffee table which I ran right into! OWW! My shin has a nice big bump and bruise to prove it. The noise of my leg colliding with the table was so loud that it woke Jackie up and caused some crazy questions to arise as to why were up in the first place. Amy and I covered it by putting in August Rush and going back to sleep. I love those two girls.

Royal Extravaganza

This gathering was a fundraiser for a family whose son was needing heart surgery. The whole evening was so much fun, I'm so glad Amy and I were able to attend. Around 14 other queens had been there throughout the day, including Miss Utah! While we were there, we got to hit up the cake walk, karaoke, knight training, boutique, bake sale, bean bag toss, and the wishing well! Here are some pictures from the evening!

Our fairy Godmother was clarifying to us that true beauty comes from within :)

The little boys weren't forgotten, there was this legit jousting/ knight training! Amy and I battled to the death.
Notice the intense focus. Those tongues...

Then of course we had to model the weapons.
We put our vocal chords to good use this day.

Here are the Facebook links to watch us sing the wishing well song and the happy working song!
(Make sure to hit the HD so the quality is decent.)

Princesses are never alone! I loved seeing so many characters dressed up! The kids certainly enjoyed it too!

The cake walk got pretty intense!!
This little girl and I were redeeming our winning coins! I got a magical bouncy ball which was a little too entertaining.

We couldn't resist getting some glittery make up!

Every single opportunity I have to put on this crown is so humbling. I was so grateful that I got to be a part of such a good cause! Best of luck to the Nielsen family.

Hope of America

Hope of America
Abby, Amy and I all had the opportunity to participate in Hope of America back in the day when we were in 5th grade, so we all LOVED being able to come back and help out on Thursday! We got to escort the First Responders and the Military personnel who came to the event. Honestly, we had such a fun night, filled with adventures and laughs. Events with these girls are always a party, and we have pictures to prove it!

Jean's Golden Girls know how to make us laugh harder than anyone! Since Amy and Abby are dancers, they have vowed to join these hilarious women when they are of age! Classic.

Kathy and Sherri are the bosses of this program.
What wonderful women!

Shout-out to my Sister-in-Law Kaiti Purse who
performed with Beyond Measure in the program!

We were able to catch a picture with the remains of the flag in the background!

Model walk.
"Those calves though" -Amy Dymock.

Naturally, when you see headless basketball players you must take a picture with them.

And maybe....pick it up...
on accident.

The entire experience was so moving, it certainly reminded me how proud I am to be an American! How could I not be inspired when listening to "We can be a light" and "America rocks" and "UTAH! People working together!"
