Last week I met with the Women's Business Network of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. Provo Mayor, John Curtis, was the featured speaker at this luncheon event.
The meeting was held in the magnificent Historic Utah County Courthouse. The Women's Division of the Chamber has two arms; the Women's Business Network and the Women's Divison. They seek out quality community projects and raise money to fund such projects. These are amazing women who are dedicated to our community. Here I am with Elaine Porter of Landmark Catering and Paula Fellingham, Founder and CEO of The Women's Information Network. The Women's Business Network was established for the benefit of helping business women in the area be able to network and become educated regarding women's business issues.

Lunch was delicious.
Mayor Curtis talked about the tremendous economic growth in Provo and also about the Provo rebranding efforts. We voted on our favorite logo and tag-line. Mayor Curtis also talked about the importance of being accessible to the community as a public servant, stating that one of the fundamental principles of a successful city is accessibility. He said his cell phone number is on the Provo City Website. Wow! Now that is accessible!
I am amazed as I continue to learn about all the programs and organizations in our community that exist for our benefit. We live in a great state.
Love, Hannah Harkness
